RUNNING WITH LIPEDEMA
"Than I decided to start wearing it during my runs, and I became a big fan.
No pain at all... And it's worth every penny!"
Running with Lipedema (the development of too much fat below the waist) is often a hard (and mostly painful) job.
They call it a “painful fat swelling”, and that’s not for nothing.
Especially in cold weather, my legs hurt a lot.
Some time ago, I decided yo buy a Knap’man compression shorts.
But there was something that kept me from actually wearing it.
Did it felt too much like compression stockings? I have no idea…
When I decided to start wearing the compression shorts, my first thoughts were: “Should I really fit these?”
At first glance, the shorts looks very small.
With the help of household (cleaning) gloves, for more grip and protection against accidentally breaking (tip alert!), I had put on the shorts in no-time.
And off she went…
No pain at all! What normally wobbles all the way, now stayed comfortably in place.
I wore the shorts upon my belly button, which is a great advantage with a “mommy-belly” after two pregnancies.
It was a great run. And for the first time in a long long time, I ran 5k within 35 minutes.
So, I am a big Knapman-fan now! The shorts aren’t cheap. But well worth every penny!
Now let’s save some money for a second pair of shorts.
Does Lipedema also keeps you from running or exercising? Do you want to run painless!?
